Meet Heather, Founder of Buyer for Hire

Hi, I'm Heather and I built Buyer for Hire because I believe women deserve to walk into a dealership feeling informed, respected, and completely in control.
My path here wasn't a straight line. I spent eight years working inside car dealerships in sales and finance, and I want to be clear: those experiences were good ones. The people I worked with were professionals who treated me well, and I came away with deep respect for the industry. But I also came away with something else: an insider's understanding of how deals are structured, where buyers leave money on the table, and why the process feels so overwhelming - especially for women.
After eight years in the dealership, I spent five years at an automotive school, then built a second career in instructional design and eLearning - learning how to take complex information and make it genuinely understandable. That combination turned out to be exactly what women navigating a car purchase actually need.

The spark that started Buyer for Hire was when I helped my children's babysitter buy a car and watched her transform from anxious to unstoppable. That moment made it clear this needed to exist, and others agreed. Buyer for Hire was awarded second place at the Rhode Island Business Competition Pitch Contest in November 2024, and was chosen as audience favorite to pitch at the eForAll Startup Expo at Venture Café Providence, where Buyer for Hire took first place.

Here's what I know: women purchased 9.6 million new cars last year at an average price of $48,641 — nearly half a trillion dollars in purchasing power. Yet half dread the experience. Not because they aren't smart enough, but because the process wasn't designed with them in mind. They shouldn't have to bring a man, hire a pricey broker, or sign a deal they're not sure about. They need a plan developed with expert guidance that respects their intelligence and addresses their real concerns.
That's exactly what Buyer for Hire delivers. Not adversarial. Not intimidating. Just an insider who's completely on your side, helping you to negotiate with grace and intention.
My two daughters are my daily reminder of why this matters. When I'm not helping women navigate car purchases, you'll find me hiking New England's trails, catching live music, or being inspired by my entrepreneur husband to dream a little bigger.
